How do I make an appointment?
You can contact me via telephone (973-447-0135) or email (jlpeart@gmail.com) to request a brief phone consultation. Faster responses can be given via email. If I provide the appropriate services for your needs, and have practice availabilty, I will then schedule you for an evaluation.
I am considered an an out-of-network provider, and gladly and promptly provide the documentation you need to file for reimbursement from your insurance company if you wish to use out-of-network benefits. Please note that initial payment is due at the time of the therapy session and the partial reimbursement is sent directly to you by your insurance company. Many of my clients are able to do this without issue, but please check with your insurance company to find out the specifics of your benefits and policy. I am not directly on any insurance panels. Figuring out mental health benefits can be confusing, and I am happy to help you to navigate the system.
To inquire about individual therapy benefits, I would recommend calling the Behavioral Health number for your insurance company and asking what they reimburse for evaluation (90791 or 90791-95 for in-person and telehealth sessions, respectively) and psychotherapy (90834 or 90834-95 for in-person and telehealth sessions, respectively) with out-of-network providers. Codes differ for other therapy modalities, which can be discussed on a consultation call. You might also consider asking about your deductible as well as if there is an imposed session limit.
